Nepal : A country of villages

Sarkegad villlage, Humla, Nepal. A hilly settlement. Dense housing. Houses are made up of stone, wood, mud and straw-roofed. As it is remote hilly geography it is very difficult and expensive to provide development. In such places, people are deprived of pure drinking water, schools are far, difficulty in distributing electricity.

In Nepalese village, most of the families have a social interdependence, social relationship, relatives, and same clan settlements.  They have some land whether it be fertile with irrigation facility or hilly land dependent on rain water for farming. They have at least a house to live be it modern be it traditional wooden or stoned one. In livestock, cow, oxen, buffalo, goat, sheep, yak, hen, duck, and like that are kept for living. They grow most of the everyday things like wheat, paddy, maize, millet, lintels, vegetables, banana, mango, papaya and fruits like that for their own eating.
