Tree Skeletons

By Sagar Saud

All of a sudden

I find myself in

A so boring

Nasty

River without water

White stone and sand

Light like a dim twilight

Looking sad

Amazing place

I screamed and screamed

I am running away crying and jumping

With big wings

Scary black vultures

Licking my flesh

Some are jumping on and stinging my head

Some are digging in my back

Foxes leaving sharp teeth

Blowing on the legs and thighs

They are scattering.

Blackish ugly

I say, to be vampire

Jumping up and down

Pinching ears

Penetrating fingers into my nose

Khi khi ... khu khu ......

Hee hee ... huu huu ..... doing

Dancing around me

I look around

I only see red mountains

Eaten by fire in the mountains

Black, black, ugly

Tree skeletons

Crying

Irritated

Some are falling down upright

Someone's hands are falling

Some blackish skeletons

Coming towards me

Stretching hands

Trying to hug me

Looking at me

Teasing me

Hee hee huu huu.......

Not like darkness

Not like brightness

Nasty

Like a reddish plain

I was trembling and crying

Being frightened

I am running screaming and jumping

It seems my heart be brust

I suffocate

My scream

It can only be heard in my ears.

Some distance away

I see all of a sudden

Green Peepal tree

Over which the Sun's

Golden rays of the morning fall

From the same tree

A peaceful and beautiful

A sweet voice comes.

Hey! Son

Look at me

Worship me

I am the Nature

I am the Father

I am the Mother

I am the basis of all life.

So beautiful and calm

By listening to the divine voice

I am immensely powerful

I look around

Neither there are foxes

Nor the black tree skeletons.

From far away

The sound of the river flowing is heard

And I with the same voice

I wake up abruptly.
